Phillip Knowlton Biography Phillip Knowlton is involved in endangered plant conservation and managing natural growing environments for high quality chardonnay wines. He farms a small sustainable apple and mixed stone fruit orchard, and works to support a multi use wildlife habitat, and utilizes non-polluting sources of energy. Professionally, he has worked in the San Francisco Bay area since the 1980's as an educational consultant for the arts, entertainment services and technology ventures.He is also a founding investor in several successful for profit and non profit ventures. Phillip studied and applied his skills and psychological training to a new field: Humanistic Business. As a business adviser, he first worked in the semiconductor industry of silicon valley and in recent years for innovative software and internet service ventures. He then naturally gravitated to the newly emerging online communities. He attended Boston University,and went on to complete an undergraduate B.A.degree in the Behavioral Science from Lyndon State College and received an M.A. in Counseling and Educational Psychology from the New Mexico State University. His doctoral thesis in Social Psychology was accepted, however he demurrers in ever completing final course work. He is a Board Member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (Redwood Empire Chapter). He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of New College of California in San Francisco. He is married to Suzanne Fitzgerald and has two college-age children, Eric and Faraellen.
